Joyce Evelyn McGinley
1939-2010
Surrounded by her family the passing of Joyce McGinley, wife of Wylie
McGinley occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday,
January 16, 2010. She was born on May 7, 1939 at St. Stephen to the
late Ward and Glenna (Logan) McCann. Joyce was a teacher in the Saint
John School District for over 35 years. She was a member of Kings
Daughters, Probus, Carnegie Rug Hookers, Fundy Gardening Club and the
NB Retired Teachers Association.
Besides her loving husband, Wylie, Joyce is survived by a brother, Ward McCann (Nancy) of St. Stephen; two sisters: Cairine McCann of Rollingdam and Shirley Lewis of New Maryland; two nephews: Derek McCann (Heidi) and Allan Lewis (Della); two nieces: Carla Bridges (Ryan) and Anne Hunter (Rick); four grand nephews: Logan, Ryan, Keaton and Kameron and a grand niece, Hallie.
Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visitation on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Thursday, January 21, 2010 at 2:00 PM. A spring interment will take place in the Rollingdam United Baptist Cemetery. For those who wish remembrances may be made to the Rollingdam United Baptist Church or the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
