Catherine (Kay) Amy Gregg
Catherine (Kay) Amy Gregg of Saint John, wife of the late Arthur Gregg, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2010 at her residence. Born in England on August 17, 1920, she was a daughter of the late John and Amy Asbridge. Kay worked with her husband Arthur at the family business, Gregg’s Restaurant. She loved flower gardening and watching the birds at her birdfeeder, as well as going for long drives with her son and spending time with her canine friend Capi, whom she shared with John and Sandy.

Kay is survived by her son, John (Jack) Gregg and his wife Sandy of Saint John; a granddaughter, Kim Steeves and her husband Fred of Elgin; a grandson, Chris Tardif of Calgary, AB, three great granddaughters, Amanda, Satara, and Lorrin; siblings George Asbridge of Midland, Ev Isbill (Ernie) of Midland, Betty Ewing of Halifax, and Robert Asbridge of Saint John; brothers and sisters-in-law Paul Sigouin of Kingston, Ontario, Liz Brideau - Asbridge of Saint John, Joy Asbridge of Midland, David Gregg (Margie) of Saint John and Lois Asbridge of Saint John; and by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Kay was predeceased by a grandson, Kevin Gregg; brothers John and Bill “Willie” Asbridge; and by sisters Mary Asbridge, Millie Totten, and Edna Sigouin.

Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday from 2-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM from Brenan’s Chapel. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to any charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
