It is with broken hearts that the family of Frances Lynn Richard announce her passing on March 22nd, 2022, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, in her 62 year. Frances, who was more commonly known as Lynn, was born on April 6th, 1960, in Saint John, to her parents Bobby and Francis Olsen.
Lynn was a kind and caring woman who had the heart of gold; she was always ready to help those in need. This was evident in her day-to-day life, especially prior to her retirement. For 30 years Lynn worked for the Loch Lomond Villa, first in dietary, and then as a PSW. With her gentle nature, Lynn was able to build great relationships with the residents she looked after and their families.
Lynn also had a love for animals, especially cats. She was known to be an avid reader with her favourite genera being Romance novels. If she wasn’t reading, you could find Lynn doing cross-word puzzles in her downtime. Her, and her husband Bob, loved going on walks and hikes. They would visit various parks together or enjoy a stroll around their neighbourhood. Lynn was one of a kind, and her place in our hearts will forever remain.
Lynn is survived by her loving husband of 37 years Bob Munro, her stepdaughter Stephanie A. (John) Munro, step-grandchildren Shelby and Kailynn Munro; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is pre-deceased by her father and her father-in-law.
A special thank you to the staff on the 5th-floor Oncology and 3rd-floor Palliative Care units, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, for their excellent care and compassion during this difficult time. Your kindness and support will always be remembered.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). In following with Lynn’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family ceremony will take place at a later date. Donations in Lynn’s memory can be made to the Saint John SPCA, Lung Association, or the Canadian Cancer Society. For those who wish, condolences may be made by visiting www.BrenansFH.com.
