He was predeceased by his wife, Marilyn (Lowden) Hewey from Stoney Creek, Ontario on March 18, 1989 and his daughter, Carol Chappel on November 23, 2020.
Raymond came from a large family of 12 and is survived by his sister, Shirley and brother, Malcolm. He was predeceased by sisters, Kathryn, Margaret, Doris and Audrey and brothers, Charles, Kenneth, Allan, Douglas and Murray.
Raymond also leaves behind his long-time neighbour, Pam Higgins, his neighbour Kevin who he spoke highly of, his buddy, Dave Butt and his family friend, Vern Perry.
Raymond loved the outdoors and he always made time to work around the yard, to work on cars and to tinker on his next project.
He was a quiet man, one who kept to himself, and a man who didn’t want his loved ones making a fuss with gifts for his birthday, holidays and celebrations. He always said “don’t waste your money”.
Raymond could always be found in the yard on Sunday nights with the music blasting for all the neighbours to hear.
In keeping with Raymond’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
