Obituary of Gerald E. Roche
It is with great sadness that the family of Gerald Roche of Saint John announces his passing, which occurred on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at the Loch Lomond Village. Born on May 9, 1948 in Saint John, he was the son of the late John and Gladys (Martin) Roche. Prior to his retirement, Gerald was employed in the Telecommunication industry. He was a gentle soul who was known for his loving and kind ways. Gerald gave generously throughout the years to numerous charities and always took great comfort in his faith. He will be sadly missed. Gerald is survived by his aunts, Mary Martin (the late Russell) of Montreal and Agnes Roche of Saint John; special cousin, Sylvia Seales (Ovid) of Saint John; as well as several other cousins. Gerald’s family would like to thank the entire staff of Dogwood Lane at the Loch Lomond Village for the care and kindness shown towards him. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Monday, June 26, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. The funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at 2:00 PM. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NB.
