Joanne was such a wonderfully positive influence on everyone who knew her. I cannot even put into words how much her friendship meant to me over the years we worked together and what a difference she made in my life just by being her kind, generous and thoughtful self. I will miss our coffee chats and her great sense of humour in spite of the many obstacles life placed in her path. She was never one to feel sorry for herself or to dwell on the negative, always finding a positive no matter the situation. I know from our many conversations that Joanne would not want us to mourn her passing so much as to celebrate her life and all the wonderful memories she helped to create. Her heart was in the right place, always putting family and friends above all else and we were all so blessed to know and love her. My sincere condolences to Jim and the rest of Joanne's family. She will be greatly missed.

Jim and Family,
I was so saddened to hear of Joanne’s passing. I had the pleasure of being one of her best friends growing up in Woodstock, NB.
It was wonderful being reunited with her after 50 years and seeing she still was as beautiful and full of spunk as when we played in each others yards and fields as children. Thanks to my amazing loving sister, Shirley and my wonderful “brother”-in-law, Ed for their generosity of time to gift Joanne and I the opportunity to reminisce of years gone bye, when I was in Canada visiting with them. It was wonderful to meet you Jim…now your “Beautiful Soulmate” will truly be your “Guardian Angel”. Blessings to you and your family and may the warm and amazing memories of Joanne help heal your hearts. Lois Flewelling Wagner

My condolences to Joanne's family for their great loss.
I moved to Morrisdale a few years ago, and started working on my house there. The first day I was there, Joanne showed up with a thermos of hot coffee and lunch! I've never felt so welcomed to a neigbourhood before. Joanne became my dear friend and we shared paddling, snow-shoeing, tree-felling (she was my spotter and saved my neck a couple of times!), and stump-pulling. Her laugh, smile and vitality were infectious, and I'll treasure the time I got to spend with her drinking instant coffee and sharing stories.

Heart felt condolences in memory of Joanne. Loving wife, mother, grandmother, friend who always brought a smile or chuckle to every occasion. Her family was her everything, we have fond memories of her sharing moments with her boys as they became young men as well as spending precious moments at the rink when our grandchildren were learning to skate. May you continue to feel her love. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Jim, Brandon,Joel and Daniel. We have many wonderful memories of Joanne. we were Beaver Leaders when our boys were young. Many good times in the 70s and 80s with young kids in Morrisdale. She was always happy and proud of her family. Last time we talked was at the Regional in November, we agreed it was no fun getting old. She had a beautiful smile and I will never forget it. Condolences to Joannes husband Jim and their Children & Grandchildren.
Joanne and I met years ago at Vocational School.
We became friends. As the years went by we lost touch.
We were both working at the Regional, when Joanne and I met up again, after so many years.
It was so nice connecting again.
Joanne was still the Sweet, Kind Person that she was in High School.
She was so Proud of her Family that her and Jim had.
We got together a few years ago with another friend.
We had such a great time reminiscing. Lots of stories and lots of laughs.
It is comforting to know that Joanne is now with her Lord and Saviour.

Jim, Brandon, Joel, Daniel and family there are no words I can say that can touch what an outstanding woman your Mom is. A marvelous wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was a delight to be around and a lady of many talents. She loved to have a good laugh and her and I had many. We have been neighbors for nearly 52 years and loved Morrisdale. She was extremely soft spoken and I don't believe I ever heard her raise her voice. Her boys and Jim were her life and she certainlyl loved them and their children. She was very proud of her sons and family. Helpful to many with a heart of gold heart. If you needed help she was there. The world has lost an exceptional person, everyone I know would agree, she was beyond special.
You battled hard Joanne, rest now, lay in the arms of angels. With love to Jim, Brandon, Joel and family...

I am so sorry to read of Joanne’s passing. We met back at good old Vocational School. A few years ago she and I and another classmate from those days met at Pizza Delight in Grand Bay for supper and played catch up for a few hours. She and I kept in touch periodically over the years. We shared a love of PEI. She was absolutely all about her children, grand-babies and husband Jim. Take comfort in the fact that she is now with the Lord and that her heart is not only 100% but is overflowing with joy. She has arrived! I’m so glad our paths crossed all those years ago. She was a pleasure to know.
