Sending my deepest condolences on Tom's passing. I first met Tom over 30 years ago when he was working security at St. Joseph's Hospital. My job at the time included daily stops at St. Joe's and Tom and I became good friends and would chat every day about all of the world's problems. Fortunately, we were able to solve most of them! Tom had a great love for his family and his native Grand Manan and he talked about both often. He also had a liking for chocolate bars and chips and I became his enabler. I remember vividly the day he repaid the favour when he arrived at my house with two huge fillets of pollock that he brought back from a visit home. Over the last years, we would see each other on occasion, usually when I had to go to the Regional Hospital. I always looked for him in the lobby or at the parking booth and we would have a quick chat or a laugh. Your Dad was a very kind and generous soul and I will miss him and our conversations. He was one of the good ones.
