Sincerest condolences to Jean and family, and to Dolores and Dion's brothers.
I first met Dion on the Ice at the Base arena in Oromocto. He had a great set of hands and was a natural goal scorer.
Eventually I spent a lot of time in the basement at Sarcee Crescent where Dion introduced me to Prog Rock, Darts, and Monty Python. Dion was the proverbial "straw that stirred the drink", we was funny, charismatic, the life of the party, and a genuinely nice guy. I still look back fondly when I spent a memorable week with him in 1983 in Toronto seeing the sights and going to the Bowie concert at the CNE. (Photo attached is Dion and his friend Steven Ashe on his brother Bob's balcony during that trip, sorry for the quality)
I'd also like to extend my sympathies to Dion's close friends. I moved to Ontario 30 years ago and I've only seen Dion a handful of times since then, but even with those sporadic interactions I still feel like a chunk of my world is now missing, so I'm sure it's a significant loss to all those around him.
Rest in Peace Dion.

We are so sorry to hear of Dion’s passing. He was so kind and fun loving, I remember a few Halloweens at Xerox where we would wait to see what costume each other had, guaranteed he would be all in.
Jean, you and the family must be heartbroken but once you get past these first few difficult days, lean into the wonderful memories you made together, and lean on your loved ones to help you adjust, he will always be with you.

Dion was an amazing colleague and friend. We were more than 30 years apart in age but had so many common interests. I’m going to miss our endless discussions during lunchtime at work about our mutual loves; baseball, professional darts, and above all, music. I consider it a huge privilege to have met and known him.
My sincerest condolences to his whole family.

We are saddened to hear of Dion's passing. He was such a great guy and will be missed by all that knew him. We watched his memorial video from start to finish..this was his life in a nutshell. He was loved by many, we could see it in the photos, from Wallys to his Dart family. But loved most by his real family, Jean and the boys and his granddaughter. RIP Dion

I met Dion years ago while working at Xerox. He was one of those happy people that made you smile. I would go to the lunchroom at times and always saw him with a group of people around him. I remember him in our Xerox toastmasters class. When it was his turn to speak, he expressed passion for his family with stories of his Mother, meeting Jean, fishing with his Dad and the love of his children and extended family. He was one of a kind. Condolences to Jean and Family.

It goes without saying how good of a guy Dion was but when you spend time with someone it is the little things that I am going to miss. Many Fridays as he arrived at the trailer we would have a quick chat and he would always say " we"ll see you tonight for some drinks and of course "yes". It was always fun to make him laugh because he had a funny one lol my love goes to Jean and the kids. Im gonna miss him alot!

Dion was one of the first people I met when I was hired by Xerox 18 years ago. Dion was moving to a new role and I was assuming his current position. His guidance and care I will never forget. His introduction to the assignment/ territory led me to be a successful Xerox Telesales rep. I have since been promoted to a Production Specislist role
I believe I would not be where I am today had it not been for Dion
Navigating a whole new world I would have been lost without him

I am deeply saddened by the loss of such a great guy and a beautiful human being. I worked with Dion for 5 years at Tim Horton's and Dion was a delight to work with and an amazing boss!! Dion was that 'unique' and 'rare' person that just made everyone around him want to be his buddy. He was the perfect example of 'humanity in action".
He helped me tremendously and anyone who was in need. I loved Dion like a brother and my sympathy goes to his loving Wife and children and grandchildren, as well as his Mom and Brothers and their family.
He will be remembered as that 'special king of person' to anyone who knew him!!
