Obituary of Darren Anson Crawford
It is with broken hearts that the family of Darren Anson Crawford announce his untimely passing, which occurred on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on April 30, 1966 in Amherst, NS, he was a much loved son of Larry Crawford (Shirley) and Audrey (nee Briggs) White (Dave).
Darren worked hard and was happiest out in the field, as he spent the bulk of his career as a surveyor in Fort McMurray. He was a noble man and genuinely cared for everyone around him, despite their social status. He loved and trusted to a fault. His contagious smile could light up any room. Darren was also a thoughtful and intuitive man. With a pen and notebook in hand, he could make the pages come alive. One of his proudest moments was October 2016, the completion of his screenplay, “A Scot’s Tale”.
Darren thrived on staying fit and was famous for using almost any at home tool for his daily exercise routines. He was a risk taker and certainly had a way of keeping his family and friends on their toes. Most of all, Darren valued family and always treasured the times spent with his precious loved ones. He will be missed beyond words.
In addition to his parents, Darren will be lovingly remembered by his siblings, Dean Crawford (Susan), Jason White, Jeff White (Stephanie) and Angie Crawford (Mary Cosman); precious nieces and nephews, Alyssa White, Jenna White, Zachary Crawford and Alexander Crawford; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
