Aw, Shell…to you and Kev, Mattie, Billy, Sharon and Rose and to all who loved Mom Ruth…I am so very sorry. She was a wonderful woman and a great Mom…a pillar of strength. She was all of the things inherent in her chosen namesake…hardworking, humble, loyal, compassionate and so very kind. She was sharp as a tack and I loved making her laugh! She was always good to me and my family…ever since you and I were in kindergarten! I am so thankful that I got to spend some time with her in her later years and that Mom got to visit with her and Peter got to meet her! Billy, Mattie, Shelley, Sharon and Rose...our condolences to you and your extended families on the passing of your Mom. The beautiful obituary is a true reflection of who she was. Ruth was such a kind and special lady who always had a warm hug and smile for me whenever I saw her. The laughter and jokes I remember from Joe and your mother's constant kindness have stayed with me ever since I was a kid visiting your home on Mount Pleasant avenue. I wish I was able to provide my condolences in person but unfortunately for us we're currently away.

Koven family,
Just reading of your Mom’s passing. She was a beautiful lady inside and out. I remember visiting with Mom as a kid “ at the big yellow house to see our cousins”. Rilla was always so good to Mom and Nannie. Sorry I am away and unable to give condolences in person. Take care of each other.
