Mass of Christian Burial

Obituary of William "Bill" A. Sullivan
It is with much sadness but with an appreciation for a life well lived that the family of William “Bill” Sullivan of Saint John, cherished husband of the late Ann Sullivan, announce his passing which occurred on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Shannex Tucker Hall. Born on March 6, 1939 in Saint John, he was a son of the late Charles and Sue (Miller) Sullivan.
Prior to his retirement, Bill worked as a postal clerk with Canada Post. Bill was affectionately referred to as a jack-of-all-trades and a master of none, as this handy man always had the skills to fix anything he set his mind to. He enjoyed creating model boats and planes, loved his newspaper crossword puzzles, was a huge horror movie fan and was an avid reader of science fiction. Together with Ann, they spent many hours socializing with friends at Hilyard Tim Hortons. He will be greatly missed.
Bill will be lovingly remembered and missed by his children, Leigh Langille, Beth Connolly and Sean Sullivan (Jean); sister, Barbara Ann Foster; grandchildren, Jake Langille, Myles Hartin, Amy Hartin, Katherine Khondker (Raihan), Elizabeth Sullivan (Kyu), Edmund Sullivan (Christin) and Andrew Sullivan (Larissa); 8 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Donald MacKay (Judy) and Michael MacKay (Judy); as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his brothers, Robert and Charles and brother-in-law, Carl Foster.
In keeping with the family’s wishes, there will be no visitation. However, relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Chrisitan Burial which will be celebrated from Holy Redeemer Parish (St. Pius X Church), 316 Somerset Street, Saint John on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at 2:00 PM. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in the Spring. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424).
In lieu of flowers and for those who wish, remembrances made to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
