Jeanie and family of Carol Joan.
I was saddened to see the obituary of your sister Carol Joan. We went to school together but I lived away from Hampton all these years so our friendship faded. I can see that she had a wonderful life and lots of friends. I am sorry to see that she suffered with Cancer in her final days. I am sure we will see her again in the heavens above. RIP Carol Joan.

My deepest condolences to Carol’s family. We grew up together in Hampton. I’ve seen Carol in later years at the beach (Mc La Ha Lo), which she co-owned with my sister, Jill Harvey Anderson and Barbara McLeod Gates. Our parents were good friends as well. They originally purchased the beach, along with Don and Mid Logie many years ago - hence, the name, Mc La Ha Lo. I remember the good times we had there as children. Carol continued her love for the beach. In fact, that’s where I last saw her, this past summer. I’ll remember her fondly.

I remember Carol from our summers at Grand Bay when the Laidlaws and McPherson 's would spend many a summer day together. Our 2 families go way back with my Mom and Carol's Mom being childhood friends and then my Dad was best man at her Mom and Dad' wedding. And then many years later John officiated at my niece's wedding.

A fine photo of Carol - I am remembering some of the good times.
Many "lunches" .... egg salad sandwiches at Wellesley .... the Bay Breeze .... the 4 of us almost monthly.
The Birthday Party at Rossmount
Happiness when she found that red jacket
Visiting the beach she loved so much - and her stories about it; a truly thoughtful and appropriate final resting place.
She's been in my thoughts these last few months. So good to hear she had many visitors; I'm grateful to have seen her in January, and regret that I will not be able to pay my respects in person.
Condolences, and best wishes to friends and family.
Suzanne

Dear Laidlaw family,
My sympathy for the passing of Carol. Time passes to quickly but the memories of youth never die. Carol was a big presence in my youth and we had lots of fun! (Starting from the time my family moved to Hampton when I was 5.) The Long’s always enjoyed her visits out at Bellisle too. We will remember her fondly. Hugs to your family.

Carol was a loyal friend of many years. She was greatly involved in the arts in Saint John.
I first knew her from her years at the New Brunswick Museum. She greatly help hosting the Canadian Museums Association Conference in Saint John, not once but twice. She loved the arts and was totally engaged in them, second only to her love of cats.
Carol was a character, lively, engaging and you always knew where she stood on any topic. When my old car broke down, she said i needed a Subaru. She told me to get in her car and she delivered me to the dealer. I still have that car and thank her for it.
I regret I will not be able to attend the viewing on the 15th.
