Obituary of James Louis Crilley
It is with broken hearts that the family of James Louis Crilley, the loving husband of the late Phyllis Joan (Vail) Crilley, announces his passing on Monday, March 17, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on January 2, 1941, in Saint John, New Brunswick, and raised in the Silver Falls.
James was known to his friends and family as Joe. He loved spending time with friends and camping at the Lake. He loved watching wrestling shows and old Western movies. His career spanned more than 40 years as a Carpenter, and he was a member of the Carpenter Union Local 1386. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Predeceased by his loving wife, Phyllis, and brother David Crilley, and survived by his children; Edward (Kathy) Crane, Dr. Anastasia Biggs (Crane), Adam Beckingham, and Alex Beckingham, and six grandchildren Niki, Gabby, Jonathan,
Memphis, Carter, and Neveah.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). There will be a visitation on March 21st at 11:00 AM. A service will take place in Brenan’s Chapel at 12:00 noon. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Ext. Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances in James’s memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
