Obituary of Anne Elizabeth Messer
It is with deep sorrow that the family of Anne Elizabeth Messer announces that she has left this life to be with the Lord and her husband, the late Andrew Walter Messer, in the afterlife. Her passing occurred on March 17, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was born in New Jerusalem, NB on March 23, 1931, daughter of the late Eldon and Florence (Johnson) Beckett.
Elizabeth had a radiant spirit of kindness and was a talented artist. She was the heart of our home and family and in our hearts, her memory will always be alive.
Her memory is carried on by her sons: Leigh Messer of Rothesay, N.B. and Andrew Messer (wife Gail) of Clearwater Florida; sisters: Marion, Gwen and Lois: sisters-in-law Doris, Betty and Gwen; brothers-in-law: Gordon (Sandra) and Robert (Sandi); grandchildren: Sarah (Andy), Jenna (Chris), Alexa (Alex), Keith, Dennis (Sara), Holly and Brittini (Dan); as well as great grandchildren: Mika and Diana.
In addition to her husband and parents, Elizabeth was predeceased by her brothers: Waldo and Eldon Jr.; sisters: Margurette and Irma and brothers-in-law Victor and Douglas and sister-in-law Vivian.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424). There will be no visitation or funeral services at this time, however we expect the celebration of Elizabeth’s life to take place in July at True Life Church in Rothesay. For those who wish to donate in Elizabeth’s name we suggest True Life Church (30 Vincent Road, Quispamsis, NB).
