It is with heavy hearts that the family of John “Jackie Vitale” Allen LeBlanc announce his unexpected passing on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at his home with his wife Sue LeBlanc by his side. Born on April 9, 1950, in Saint John, New Brunswick, to the late Margaret “Peggy” (LeBlanc) Vitale, and a special honorable mention to his grandparents Edmund and Elizabeth LeBlanc who took John in and raised him as if he was one of their own children.
John will be profoundly missed by the love of his life Sue LeBlanc, son Andrew (Tara), daughter Brandi (Tony), step-son Matthew, brother Robert (Bob) Vitale, grandchildren; Rheal, Emily, Amber, Barrett, Kylie, Larissa, and Charlee, great-grandchildren Gregor and Cashes, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides his mother and grandparents, he will be lovingly reunited with his brother Rodney Vitale, and sisters Theresa Vitale and Suzanne Vitale.
John lived in the Saint John area for the majority of his life, more specifically the Grand Bay area where he raised his family and spent his 15 years of retirement in. He worked at Simms Brush Factory, and then went on to retire from the Worker’s Compensation Board as a Sanitary Engineer after several years of devotion. John was a man of many hobbies, spending immeasurable hours riding his motorbike, fly tying, fishing, and spending time with his friends.
