Obituary of Cecil James Hart
Cecil James (Jim) Hart of Rothesay, NB passed away peacefully on the morning of April 24, 2025, in Saint John. Born on May 30, 1942, he is predeceased by his father Cecil Hart, his mother Erma (Dixon) and his sister Catherine.
Jim will be forever cherished by his wife of 27 years, Esther Hart. He is mourned by his loving sons Michael (Deborah), John (Tina) and his stepdaughters Jeannine (Brian), Michelle, and Coleen. Jim will be dearly missed by his brothers Don (late Valentina), David (Heather) and William (Shelley). His memory will be treasured by his grandchildren, step-grandchildren, step great-grandchildren and his many nieces, nephews, and their children.
A professional accountant with his own practice, Jim had many passions from woodworking to music. He loved to play his piano. Above all other pursuits however, Jim was an avid sailor. Sailing wasn't simply a passion, it was his soul. He enjoyed the many friends he made over the years at the Rothesay Yacht Club and within the local boating community.
At Jim's request, the family will hold a private ceremony at a later date.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Bobby's Hospice, who provided care and comfort in his final days.
