My sincerest condolences and sympathies to Ian's Family. I am a past student of Prince Charles Intermediate School and Mr. Sweet was my first-year grade nine home room teacher in the class of 1971-1972 (I had to repeat grade nine). I remember the "Geography elective classes" we had offered and I loved that class that Mr. Sweet taught. I repeated taking the elective the second year in grade nine in 72/73 (Mr. Kevin Robertson was my second year grade nine home room teacher) and the best thing I remember is Mr. Sweet's instruction in some of the geological features of the local area (I do remember him telling us of his geologist training then) and on reading topographical maps and use of the compass. I learned of his passing from Mr. Robertson who (as noted above) taught at Prince Charles Intermediate at the time. My prayers and thoughts with Ian's Family and Friends. Bob Finn, Saint John, New Brunswick.

Margie so sorry to hear about Ian passing. When I was young I only knew him not as Ian but Binker. He summered up at Nerepis. He and my sister Peggy and their friends hung out at our house a lot. He always loved to take his friends for rides on his motorcycle. I never knew until I was almost an adult that Binker wasn’t his name, that it was Ian. Never could call him Ian.Thoughts and prayers are with you.
