Obituary of Calvin Darryl Chatterton
It is with profound sadness that the family of Calvin Darryl Chatterton announces his peaceful passing at Bobby's Hospice on May 10th, at the age of 78.
Born on September 17th, 1946, in Saint John, he was the beloved son of Theodore and Mildred (Smith) Chatterton.
Calvin was a proud 45-year member of UA Local 213. In his earlier years, he cherished the outdoors—hunting, fishing, and riding his dream Harley. If he wasn’t at home, you could likely find him “down around the block,” driving the back roads in search of moose tracks. He especially loved the summer, sitting out on the deck or under his favorite tree, waiting to see who might stop by for a visit.
Calvin is lovingly remembered by his son Kyle (Suveen); wife Myrna; sister Patricia (Bob); brother-in-law Billy Hunter (Deb); sister-in-law Joan; several nieces and nephews; and many cherished friends.
Calvin was predeceased by his parents, Theodore and Mildred; his brother Ralph; sister-in-law Judy; and brothers-in-law Stephen and Allie.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Cheryl, Rachel, Joan, Pat, Bob, and Myrna for their unwavering support and countless hours spent caring for Calvin through difficult times. Heartfelt appreciation also goes to Extra Mural (Jen Sherwood), Kindred Home and Senior Care (Katlyn Brown), Dr. Daigle-Maloney, the Palliative Care Unit, Bobby’s Hospice and their incredible staff, and Dr. Le.
Visitation will be held at the Bains Corner United Church on May 14th from 11:00am-1:00pm, followed by a Celebration of Life and Graveside Service with lunch to follow.
For those who wish, memorial donations in memory of Calvin may be placed to Bobby's Hospice. Online condolences may be shared at www.brenansfh.com.
