Obituary of Avery Dwayne Tulk
It is with great sadness we announce that Avery Dwayne Tulk passed away on May 14, 2025, just days before his nineteenth birthday. He was a beloved son to Kajle Locke (Nick) and Raymond Tulk (Judy) and a loving brother to his siblings: Lily, Alex and Harrison; as well as a stepbrother to Teagen.
Avery loved going fishing at the ponds and wharf to see what he could catch; often returning with trout, mackerel and squid to cook up. He had found a passion for cooking and baking; often surprising his family and friends with treats he had made for them to take home. Avery also had a passion for collecting sneakers, he loved to talk about the newest styles and loved to convince his mother to buy him the newest pair. He also enjoyed collecting Pokémon and hockey cards. Avery had excellent penmanship and was a very talented artist. He had a unique ability to draw almost anything and draw it well.
Despite life’s challenges, he was silly and always knew how to make someone laugh. He made friends easily with his open heart and kind spirit. He filled our hearts with immeasurable love and leaves a profound impact on the lives of those who were blessed enough to know him.
In addition to his parents and siblings, Avery is survived by his great grandmother Linda Locke; grandparents Harold and Cavell Tulk, Cindy Locke (Jordy) and Robert Middleton (Ann). He is also survived by his uncle Jason Tulk (Tania); aunt Lisa Anstey (Ted), uncle Garrett Travis and cousins: Shawn, Samantha, Myla, Nicholas and Novah.
The family would like to thank the many people who have supported Avery over the years with their time and dedication.
Arrangements are under the direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, (506-634-7424). At this time there will be no formal service. A celebration of life for Avery will be announced at a later date. For those who would like to make a contribution in remembrance of Avery, donations can be made to the Centre for Youth Care, Outflow Men’s Shelter, BGC Grand Manan or a charity of the donor’s choice.
