Obituary of Nancy Hannah

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nancy Jane Hannah of Saint John, New Brunswick, who passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 23, 2025 after a short battle with cancer. Born in Sydney, NS, Nancy was a lifelong resident of Saint John, NB.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Rod and Mary Hannah. She is predeceased by her sister Barbara, and lovingly remembered by her sister Sandra of Saint John, her brother Rodney of San Francisco, and brother Richard (Heather), and her much loved nieces Cassie (Blake) and Jillian (Chris) all of Calgary, AB. Nancy also leaves behind her aunt Kathy (Mike) Monaghan and many cousins and friends who will miss her deeply. She will also be missed by the Bayside Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses of which she has been a part of since 1967 and her colleagues at Air Canada especially her CX Team, whom she worked with at the time of her passing.

Nancy loved to travel to many places around the world. She especially loved going to PEI every summer. Her other favourites were Montreal, Calgary and the UK. She had a deep love for music – The Beatles and U2 were lifelong favourites. A passionate hockey fan, Nancy was always following how her Edmonton Oilers were doing. Her love of photography is well known along with her love of movies and her Oscar parties, a tradition which her niece Cassie carries on. She also had a great affection for animals, especially her favourite dog Harper in Calgary and her cherished cats, who were constant companions over the years.

A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held on June 6, 2025, at 2:00 pm Atlantic Time (6:00pm GMT) at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses,            2020 Loch Lomond Road. https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83331339960?pwd=YY5GMdv60fzxk9gO3draqvibvipYS6.1 (Zoom Meeting ID: 833 3133 9960, Passcode: 123444)
