




Obituary of Mary Elizabeth "Peggy" Morton
With heavy hearts, the family of Peggy Morton, wife of the late George Morton, announce her passing, which occurred on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at her residence in Loch Lomond Village. Born February 26, 1932, in Saint John, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Elisa (Janes) Wills.
Peggy is survived by her six children: Debra Burns (Larry), Frederick Morton (Kathy), Helen Morton (the late Steven Jacquard), Stephen Morton (Diane), Isabel Haché (the late Tony), and Joseph Morton (Jean); grandchildren: Belinda Sproul, Scott Burns, Mike Burns, Kiel Morton, Toni Campbell, Lisa Morton, Meghan Morton, Rick Martin, Melissa Martin, and several great grandchildren.
Besides her parents and her husband, George, Peggy was predeceased by her sisters: Jean Pentland, Dorothy Wright, and Helen Arseneault; and her brother, William “Bill” Wills.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424), where visitation will take place on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A Funeral Liturgy will take place on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 11 am in Brenan’s Chapel. Interment will follow in Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
For those who wish, remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society or Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
