Obituary of David Robert Hewitson

In great sadness we announce the unexpected passing of David on June 28th, 2025.  He was the son of the late Geraldine (Hanley) and Stanley Hewitson.

Dave was a graduate of Millidgeville North High School and Saint John Community College.  He was a dedicated and loyal employee of Oland/Moosehead Breweries over his 38 year career.

Dave was a true West Sider and enjoyed his coffee crew and luncheons with his fellow retirees.  Dave looked forward to and loved the many family dinners and celebrations.

He will be greatly missed by his friends and family, near and far; especially his cousins, Wendy, Melinda and their families.

Arrangements are under the direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424).  At Dave’s request there will be no visitation or funeral.  A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
