Obituary of Katherine Irene Stevens
It is with tremendous sadness that the family of Kathy Stevens announce her passing, which occurred on Sunday, February 25, 2018 in her home at the age of 54. Born on February 4, 1964 in Saint John, she was a daughter to the late Ernest "Teddy" and Marguerite "Margie" (Sheppard) Stevens.
Kathy was a people person. She enjoyed socializing, being around her family, her friends, and they loved being around her. She was such a positive presence, and knew just what to do to make those around her smile. Kathy also enjoyed playing guitar and playing BINGO. Above all, Kathy was a loving and devoted mother. Her sons, Jonathan and Jeremy, were her life. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Kathy will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Jonathan (Samantha Northrup) and Jeremy Stevens, her siblings: Sharon Stevens, Bonnie Curran and Jason Stevens, her nieces and nephews: Brucie (Natasha), Jeffrey (Shelby), Christopher, Matthew (Katelyn) and Natasha (Mike) Curran, and Star Stevens (BJ), her aunt Sonia Pye and uncle Greg (Carol) Stevens along with many members of her extended family and friends.
Besides her parents, Kathy was predeceased by her brother Bruce Stevens.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) where family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, February 28 from 2-4 and 6-8. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 1 at 2 PM from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel with interment to take place at Greenwood Cemetery.
For those who wish, remembrances may be made to a charity of donor’s choice.
