Obituary of Helen Mary Coates
With appreciation for a life well-lived, the family of Helen Mary Coates announces her passing, which occurred on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on July 25, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Hannah (Savoy) LaTulippe.
Helen will be missed by her children: Donna Patterson (the late Charles), Bob Mason (Vickie), Douglas Mason Sr. (Laura), Maureen Asselstine (the late Bob), Stenner Mason (Ann); her grandchildren: Tanya (Sean), Brandon (Sydney), Doug Jr., Alison, Paul (Stephanie), Christina (Kenneth), Tammy (Jeff), Heather and Philip; as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Helen was predeceased by her first husband, Bernard A. Mason and her second husband, Albert P. Coates.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visitation on Wednesday and Thursday, April 11 and 12, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 91 Waterloo Street, Saint John on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 12:10 pm. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be placed at www.BrenansFH.com
