Obituary of Clara C. Hodgson

Mrs. Clara C. Hodgson (Neilsen) of Saint John, died peacefully on Thursday, September 26, 2002 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Sheffield, NB, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Kirsten (Jensen) Nielsen, and the wife of the late T. Clifford Hodgson. She was a member of St. Luke's Church, where she was active in the ACW. Clara will be greatly missed by her three sons, John and his wife Nadia of Regina, Sask., Donald and his wife Joan of North Vancouver, BC, and Arthur and his wife Michelle of Sussex, NB, her three daughters, Irene Livingstone of Vancouver, BC, Janet Hazen and her husband George of Bloomfield, NB, and June Bennett and her husband Wayne of Quispamsis, NB, and two special nieces, Barbara Ann Jamieson and her husband Carl of Sheffield, NB, and Janet Harvey and her husband Cecil of Maugerville, NB. She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased her son, C. Ray Hodgson, a sister, Annie Neilsen, and brothers, Peter, Hans, Holger, and Ralph Neilsen. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, (506) 634-7424, with visitation on Saturday from 7-9 PM and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Monday, September 30, 2002 at 11:00 AM from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at Upper Maugerville United Baptist Church Cemetery. Remembrances to St. Luke's Church or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
