Obituary of Brian Daniel Barton
It is with great sadness that the family of Brian Barton announces his passing on April 9, 2018. Born in Saint John on July 8, 1965, Brian was the son of Frances (Gallant) Morehouse and adopted son of the late Marilyn and Kenneth Barton.
Brian worked as a millwright in New Brunswick and in several places on Canada’s West Coast. He moved to beautiful British Columbia where he lived up until his passing and where he was truly happy. Brian loved to spend his days on his boat on the water whenever he could or riding his bike.
A loving son, brother and uncle, Brian was kind, generous and loved to have fun and will be deeply missed by his mother, Frances; sisters, Linda Arsenault (late Roy), Jean Driscoll (Dennis), Carol Morehouse, Susan Morton (Gary), Kelly Baggs (Walter), Bev Pitre (Dennis); brothers, David Morehouse (Rose) and Jim Kinch (Kathy); many nieces and nephews; as well as great-nieces and great-great-nieces and nephews. He will be truly missed by his closest and best friend, his brother, George Touhakis.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visitation on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 PM. A celebration of Brian’s life will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 2:00 PM from Brenan’s Chapel. Please join the family after the service at the Pub Down Under, 400 Main Street, Saint John for a reception and to share memories of Brian.
For those who wish, remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
