Obituary of Edna M London Allen

London Allen, Edna M. - It is with great sadness the family of Edna Mabel (Byers) London Allen announces her passing which occurred at the Loch Lomond Villa Inc on Sunday, May 13, 2018. Born in Hoyt Station on June 1, 1919 she was a daughter of the late Albert and Laura (Shanks) Byers. Nan was a loving Mother and grandmother. She spent all of her 99 years caring for her family especially her boys. Nan was full of life and love. She enjoyed dancing, crosswords puzzles and bingo. Her exceptional cross stitch was a joy to us all. The best part of her life was her family. Edna worked as a custodian for the Saint John School Board until her retirement. She was a member of the City Market Seniors Group, The Hill Top Seniors Group and a past member of the Prentice Ladies. She was a member of Saint George’s Anglican Church. She is survived by her sons: George (Lulla) London, Lloyd (Carole) London and Donald (Deborah) London; grandchildren: Mark (Jackie) London, Dana (Miriam) London, Todd (Patricia) London, Tara London, Jamie (Patricia) London, Tricia (Thane) MacDonald; great grandchildren: Dakota, Mitchell, Kenneth, Liam, Amanda, Lorne, Justine, Tatum, Isla, Carter, Ryder; sister Iona Osmon; step children, several step grandchildren/great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her 1st and 2nd husbands: Guy London and Dean Allen, seven sisters and one brother. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visiting on Thursday, May 17, 2018 from 4-8 pm. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 12:00 pm from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place in Old Cedar Hill Cemetery.
