Obituary of Harold Douglas Almon

The death of Harold Douglas (Bud) Almon, husband of Leotta (Harper) Almon, occurred on October 6, 2002, at his residence. Born in Saint John he was the son of the late Harold and Leona (McCormick) Almon. He was a mechanic by trade working for Downey Ford, R.E. & J.E. Frairs Ltd. and Grove Construction Ltd. before his retirement.He enjoyed camping and cars. Besides his wife he is survived by his sons Stephen and his wife Susan of Quispamsis, Eric and his wife Lisa of Saint John, his brothers David (Butch) and his wife Linda of Saint John, Norman and his wife Sheila of Saint John, his grandchildren Evan, Scott, Alec and Julian and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Katherine and his brother Donald. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2002, at 11:00 AM, from Forest Hills Baptist Church. Interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Children's Wish Foundation or the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
