Obituary of Doris Elizabeth Foster
With heavy hearts, the family of Doris Foster, wife of the late R. Gregory Foster, announce her passing on Friday, June 1, 2018 at her residence in Rocmaura Nursing Home. Born July 2, 1926 in Saint John, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Margaret (Carrigan) Boyce.
Doris had a passion for family. She was a member of the Eastern Star, and enjoyed having Saturday night dinner at The Reversing Falls.
Doris is survived by her children: Richard Foster (Susan) of Blacks Harbour, Rose Anne Dunbar (Kevin), and Randy (Patsy Conway); grandchildren: Brandy MacDougall, Greg Dunbar, Christopher Dunbar, Amy (Foster) Harris, Justin Foster, and Ryan Foster; many great-grandchildren; brother, Earl Boyce; sister, Lorraine Marr; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and her parents, Doris was predeceased by her son, Robert; sisters, Doreen Totten and Norma Rosvall; and daughters-in-law, Diane Crane and Anne Foster.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). As per Doris’ wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances to the ALS Society or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Please place online condolences and remembrances at www.brenansfh.com.
