Obituary of Constance Alice Waters
The death of Constance Alice Waters of Loch Lomond Road, Saint John, NB, wife of the late John Donaldson Waters, occurred on Monday, October 21, 2002 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born December 14, 1916 in Change Islands, NFLD, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Joseph and Maud-Mary (Maskell) Prescott. Connie lived her early life in Springfield, NB, then moved to Loch Lomond in Saint John, where she graduated from RCS Netherwood School, and in 1940 the Saint John School of Nursing. Connie was a member of All Saints Anglican Church, Loch Lomond where her father was an Anglican Priest . She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Thursday Night Club and the Simonds and Millidgeville Lions Clubs. She loved to travel and walk, walking four miles everyday, she was a devoted mother and grandmother who will be sadly missed. She is survived by one son John S.A. Waters and his wife Elizabeth (MacDonald), Saint John, one brother Basil A. Prescott (Elizabeth), Saint John, three grandchildren Jonathan, Samuel and Benjamin Waters, Saint John, one niece Barbara Prescott, Saint John, nephew Joseph Prescott (Brenda) and daughter Jacqueline, Springfield, NB, and companion Clifford Jones, Saint John. She is predeceased by sister-in-law Mary A (Donovan) Prescott. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Wednesday and Thursday, 2-4, 7-9 PM. Funeral Service will be held at All Saints Anglican Church, Upper Loch Lomond, Saint John, on Friday, October 25, 2002 at 2:00 PM., with interment to follow in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances to the Children's Wish Foundation, the Canadian Diabetes Association, A.L.S. Society of New Brunswick would be appreciated by the family.
