Obituary of Harold Charles Campbell

The death of Mr. Harold Charles Campbell of 20 Crown Hill Crescent, Saint John, husband of Mabel May (Coates) Campbell, occurred on Tuesday, December 31, 2002, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Westfield, NB, he was the son of the late Walter and Elsie (Pitt) Campbell. Mr. Campbell was a Dispatcher and Driver with Gulf Canada Ltd., for many years, before his retirement. He was a veteran of World War II serving overseas in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany with the Canadian Army. He was a longtime member of Main Street Baptist Church, where he served as deacon and Sunday School teacher, and was a member of the Saint John Kiwanis, Golden "K" Club. Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Diane E. Rouse (Allan) of Saint John, two brothers, Gerald Campbell of Saint John and Eugene Campbell of Moncton, one sister Gertrude Pitt of Saint John, three grandchildren, Andrew, Erin and Colin. He was predeceased by one brother, Kenneth. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Wednesday 7-9 PM and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Main Street Baptist Church on Friday, January 3, 2003 at 2:00 PM. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
