Obituary of Lawrence Sanford Beyea
The death of Mr. Lawrence Sanford "Sonny" Beyea, of Quispamsis, NB, husband of Doreen (Sprague) Beyea, occurred on Friday, January 3, 2003 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, he was the son of the late Walter and Eva (Vair) Beyea. Sonny had owned and operated his own dump truck business for over 20 years, and later owned and operated, in a partnership, an auto salvage business from 1966 to 1979. Sonny retired in 2001, following 17 years of employment with Thomas Construction as a Heavy Equipment Operator. Sonny enjoyed gardening and lawn work, snowmobiling and hunting. One of his passions in life was restoring his tractor. Sonny leaves behind, his loving wife, Doreen, one son, John Beyea (Dianne) and one daughter, Sharon Lounton (Ken), both of Quispamsis, NB, three grandchildren, Bradley Beyea and Matthew and Erin Lounton, one brother, Eldon Beyea (Eleanor) of Saint John, two sisters, Audrey Magee of Hampstead, and Loretta "Dolly" Buck of Nova Scotia, as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, and sisters, Barbara McEllman and Jean Lortie. By request, there will be no visitation. A private family service will be held. Remembrances to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
