Obituary of J. William Kelly
Kelly, James William "Bill" –
It is with appreciation for a life well-lived that the family of J. William "Bill" Kelly, loving husband to Kathleen M. Deering, announces his passing, which occurred on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on September 25, 1931, he was a son of the late William E. and Catherine E. (Higgins) Kelly.
In addition to his wife, Kathleen of 64 years, Bill will be missed by his sons: Michael (the late Anne), Stephen (Mary Jane) and Patrick (Christine); grandchildren: Bill (Stephanie), Lesley, Christine (Sean), Joseph (Kristen), Brendan, Mary Bridget, Aidan (Brittany) and Clare; great-grandchildren: Mollie, Kinley and Karlie; his brother, Rev. Patrick Kelly; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; his sisters: Sr. Catherine Kelly and Sr. Margaret Kelly; and a daughter-in-law, Anne.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visiting on Thursday, June 21, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm with a Knights of Columbus tribute service at 7 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 91 Waterloo Street, Saint John on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 12:10 pm. Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery on Saturday, June 23 2018 at 10:00 am.
