Obituary of Allison Clinton Coates
The death of Allison Clinton (Al) Coates, husband of Pauline (Kilpatrick) Coates, occurred on November 8, 2002, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Plumweseep, NB, he was the son of the late Elwyn and Martha (Leaman) Coates. He was employed as a service technician with various automotive firms including Saint John Motors, Ellis Motors and the Volkswagen dealership and he retired from Murray and Gregory Ltd. He enjoyed his time hunting and fishing. Besides his wife he is survived by his brother Ronald and his wife Isabel of Westwood, Massachusetts, his sister Helen Babineau of Hampton, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Murray Coates, his half brother Horace Coates and his sister Doreen Beechim. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Sunday from 7-9 PM and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2002, at 2:15 PM, from Brenan's Chapel. Interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke would be appreciated by the family. www.brenansfh.com
