Obituary of Constance Marie French
The death of Connie (Jones) French of Rocmaura Nursing Home, occurred unexpectedly at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, March 20th, 2004. Born in Saint John, NB, she was the wife of the late E. Roy French and daughter of the late William McKee and Mabel Bertha (Beardsley) Jones. In later years Connie was employed in retail with K-Mart and was an avid sports enthusiast. Connie also had a keen interest in genealogy, where she and her sister Eileen and cousin Penny compiled a book of the family history. Connie is survived by four sons, Lee (Lois), Bill (Ann), Greg (Debbie) and Brian (Karen), all of Saint John; one sister, Eileen Clarke of Ketepec; one brother Al Jones (Heather) of Gondola Point; seven grandchildren, Peter, Jeff, Shianne Russell (Robert), Justin, Andrew, Danielle and Lindsay; four great-grandchildren, Jaclynne, Samantha, Kyle and Madison; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by an infant son, Jon Gregory. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506) 634-7424, with visitation on Tuesday from 7-9 pm. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 24th, 2004 in the chapel at Brenan's Funeral Home at 11:00 am. Following a reception at Brenan's, a private committal service will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. For those who wish, donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
