Obituary of M. Elvira Price

The death of M. Elvira Price, wife of the late Richard Price, formerly of Saint John East and currently residing at the Church Home of St. John & St. Stephen, occurred on April 7, 2004, at her residence. Born in Chatham, NB, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Elizabeth (Muir) Cassidy. She was a Registered Nurse having worked at the Saint John General Hospital throughout her career. She was a very active member of Park Avenue United Church where she enjoyed the fellowship of the Fireside Club. She is survived by her son Earle Price (Stella) of Ottawa, her daughters Mary Ellis (Ross) of Gondola Point, Muriel Flood of Saint John, Ruth Tedford (John) of Rosemere, PQ, her daughter-in-law Irene Price of Amherstburg, ON, her sister Jean Savoy of Burnt Church, NB, BC, her 14 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son George Price, her brother Harry Cassidy and her sister Roberta Colbacheff. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506-634-7424), with visiting on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Following cremation the funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2004, at 11:00 AM, from Park Avenue United Church. Interment will take place at Burnt Church Cemetery at a later date.
