Obituary of Kathleen E. Mollins
The death of Mrs. Kathleen E. Mollins of Cosy Lake Road, Saint John, NB, and formerly of 368 Millidge Avenue, wife of the late Richard Donald Mollins, occurred on Wednesday, March 3, 2004 at her residence. Born at Kentville, NS on July 24, 1914, she was a daughter of the late Emery Eric and Esther Mae (Schofield) Mapplebeck. She had been a resident of Saint John since 1930. She had formerly been employed with H. L. Titus at Titus Bakery at Main Street and Prince Edward Street for over ten years. She was a member of Main Street Baptist Church and the Martha Spragg Missionary Society. Mrs. Mollins was a member of the Saint John General and the Saint John Regional Hospital Ladies' Auxiliary. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by a son, James E. (Norma) of Saint John; a daughter, Lynne J. Gibson (Wayne Ewart) of Saint John; five grandchildren, James Gibson (Angela), Janet Quinlan (Ron), Terri-Lynn Mollins (Paul Fooks), Lori Ann Hayes (Tim) and Richard Mollins (Tammy); nine great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424) where visitation will take place on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place at Brenan's Chapel on Friday at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the charity of the donor's choice.
