Obituary of Walter George McKim

The death of Walter George McKim, of 500 Highland Road, Saint John, husband of the late Charlotte Anne (Moore) McKim, occurred unexpectedly on Thursday, April 29, 2004 in Sussex, NB. George was a Social Worker at the Sussex Community Mental Health Center for many years. He was a founding member and past president of New Dawn and was pleased to see the dream finally become a reality. George was an active member of St. John's (Stone) Church and enjoyed hiking, kayaking, painting and photography. George has gone to be with his beloved Charlotte, and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He is survived, by two sons, Darcy (Krista Carr) of Fredericton and Ryan (Jill DeWitt) of Saint John, one daughter, Megan Doucette (Stephen) of Fredericton, one grand daughter, Cara Elizabeth Doucette, one sister, Judith Clark (Louie) and their son Jeff of Rothesay, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents. Resting at St. John's (Stone) Church Hall, Carleton Street, Saint John, with visiting on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at St. John's (Stone) Church on Monday, May 3, 2004, at 1:00 PM. Interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery at a later date.
