Dear Mountain Road Millett Cousins, Please accept our heartfelt condolences on the passing of your father Ben and known to me as Uncle Ben. Your father was a true gentle-man with a heart and home that had room for many. His sense of humour and play is what I will remember most about your father. He taught me how to disconnect my thumb at the joint without pain and more importantly how to reattach it, how to remove my eyeball wash it in my mouth and return it to its proper socket, and how to make an incredible popping sound by inserting my index finger into the side of my mouth. All of the above without the aid of an anesthetic or care for hygiene. As an elementary school teacher these skills your father taught me have amazed many a student. I last saw Ben at my own father's Birthday Party a few weeks back. He enjoyed both his desserts and if any of us are facing the prospect of leaving this life it should be with two desserts! I believe your father won the Favourite Uncle of the Year Award in 1973, mind you he won it after judicial recount due to some dubious Liberal promises made by his elder brother Myron, but he won it fair and square, with style, class and no broken promises. That is the kind of guy he was. Here's to a great husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and great grandfather. May he continue to inspire us all with his legacy. Erik and Marie-Christine Millett (The Brown St. Millett's)

Dear Linda, Patty, Susan, Catherine, Ben, David and John, Please accept my deepest condolences. Ben Sr. was a smiling, generous and kind man to many more than just the Millett kin. He will be fondly remembered by anyone who visited your homes in Forest Hills and Darlings Island, where he made friends and visitors feel at home and truly like 'one of the family'. Bless you all.

My sincere and deepest condolences to all of my Saint John "Millett" cousins. I had a lot of uncles growing up but no uncle was loved as much as my "favourite Uncle Ben". Ben and Betty had many children but Uncle Ben always treated me swell as he would say. When I was 6 and stuck at home with the measles he brought me a giraffe puppet that had spots just like me. Still have it. He could make anyone laugh and feel better. I am so sorry that I can't be there for a celebration of his life. I will be there to see everyone in August. Love, Ginny, Ian, Amy, Meredith XOX

Just read the obit today, Friday May 29th 2020. I worked for Letraset and Ben was a customer for all the time at Letraset which was almost 30 years.
He was a pleasure to do business with and a pleasure to be with when we had our numerous lunches. I’m sorry he has passed on but he had a real good life and deservedly so. Fred Cocolicchio Toronto.
