Dear Nicola & Family, We were very saddened to learn of Margaret Anns passing and extend our heartfelt sympathies and condolences for your loss. Margaret Ann was such a lovely gracious lady. I have fond memories of having served with her on the Grand Piano Selection Committee for the Imperial Theatre, and visiting her at her home numerous times to talk about artist Miller Gore Brittain and the arts in general. I learned so much from her. Our caring thoughts and prayers are with you all, as you reflect on her life and many contributions. Most sincerely,

Dear Nicola and family. We were so sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. Our family was fortunate to have moved in across the road from Margaret Ann in 1986 and from the moment we met, she always made us feel welcome and a cherished part of her life. We especially enjoyed having tea and the chats we would have with your mom and Walter. Our thoughts are with you all. She will be missed.

Please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of your mother, grandmother, friend. I only knew her from her shopping at Sears and though she was known and travelled the world over, she was always such a gracious and humble lady. She left an impression without trying and I always think of her as I pass her home each day. May she Rest In Peace.

We are saddened to hear of your mother's passing. Such a spirit and absolutely a life well lived through her beloved music and her global travels. Ultimately, though, the view of the Bay of Fundy from Red Head she cherished and brought her much happiness. She will be missed. You both-and your families-are in our thoughts.

Phyllis Knox posted a condolence
I was a young singer in Saint John that went on to a wonderful singing career in other parts of Canada. But there was a time in the early 90's when I was going out to Redhead to sing leider with Walter and I met beautiful Margaret. What a pleasure and privilege. Margaret would sit in another room and listen, and invariably, she would float into the room in her ethereal way just before I left, to offer her appreciation and goodbyes. What precious memories of those times with she and Walter and Erskine, with condolences and sweet memory and deepest thanks for those intimate, deep and musical times together. Farewell Margaret. Hello I believe my mother is a cousin of your mother. As I was told, Your mothers grandmother was Fannie Ferrier who married Will Armstrong. This couple cottaged on Silver Island in Muskoka before they or their children bought at Fairhaven. Your mother and my mother were the same age and played together for some summers... My mom is alive -91 years, living in Toronto and read your moms lovely obituary telling us about the linkage between the two families. I am passing on our condolences to you and your family. You must have been very proud of her many accomplishments and contributions. Marilyn.
