Obituary of Geraldine Margaret McCann
The death of Geraldine 'Jean' M. McCann, wife of the late Joseph Stephen McCann, occurred on December 3, 2004 at her residence. Born At Dalhousie, NB, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Elizabeth (Calvert) Brown. She was a music teacher having taught at St. Pius and Crescent Valley Schools and offered private music lessons at her home. She was a member of St. Pius X Parish and the CWL and was church organist. She also taught Latin and Catechism for several years. She was a member of the Legion of Mary and took pride in her many hand made rosaries that were sent around the world. She is survived by her sons William 'Bill' and his wife Shirley of Goodwood, ON, Robert 'Bob' and his wife Catherine of Charlottetown, PEI, Gerald 'Gerry' at home, her daughter Mary Alice McCann and her husband Daniel Harrington of St. Stephen, NB, her brother Wally Brown and his wife Albina of Dalhousie, NB, her sister Olive Keenan and her husband Sandy of Gondola Point, her grandchildren Cathy Ann, John, Colleen, Patrick and Erin, her great-grandchildren Keith and Miranda and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenans Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Monday from 7-9 PM and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 8, 2004, at 2:00 PM, at St. Pius X Church. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Remembrances made to Romero House Soup Kitchen would be appreciated by the family.
