Obituary of Stanley Joseph Galliah
The death of Stanley 'Stan' Joseph Galliah, husband of the late Alice May (Gillet) Galliah, occurred on April 17, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Newcastle, NB, he was the son of the late John and Elizabeth (Gauvin) Galliah. He was a long time employee of Brunswick Ready Mix (Lafarge Canada Inc) until his retirement. He was a member of Carleton York and the Senior Citizens Care Center. He was a member of the Rockwood Park Golf Club and enjoyed golfing. He is survived by his sons Michael (Brenda) of Browns Flat, Morris (Kimberley) of Saint John, his daughters Anne (Bruce Baxter) of Toronto, Edith 'Dolly' (Doug Bull) of Victoria, BC, Tina of Oakville, his grandchildren Blake, Travis, Stephanie and Michael, his special friend Simone Simoneau and her family, his sisters Edith Ross, Cecile Mallie, Mary Parise and Jeanette and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenans Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday from 7-9 pm and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2005, from Brenans Chapel at a time to be announced. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Remembrances made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
