Obituary of Alice Elsbeth Leadlay
The death of Alice E. Leadlay of Rothesay, NB occurred on Sunday, September 26, 2004, at her residence. Born in Guelph, ON, she was a daughter of the late George and Annie (Conroy) Bennett. Alice was a Registered Nurse and had practised in Stadacona and Mount St. Vincent Mother House in Halifax, NS before her retirement. Survived by her husband, Kenneth B. Leadlay; her three sons, David (Gail) Leadlay of Quispamsis, NB, Mark (Cheryl) Leadlay of Beaver Bank, NS and Bruce Leadlay of Halifax; her daughter, Susan Burgess of Guelph; two sisters, Kay Hawker and Mary Ritter, both of Guelph; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by three brothers: George, Michael and Jack Bennett and three sisters: Margaret, Irene and Madeline. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506) 634-7424. Following cremation a memorial mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Rothesay, NB on Thursday, September 30, 2004 at 3 pm. Interment will follow at a later date. Remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Alice you are beautiful, you are now at home.
