Obituary of Edward Arthur Bailey
The death of Ed Bailey of Adelaide Street, Saint John, NB, occurred on Thursday, May 13th, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB, he was the son of the late Arthur and Frances (Lavigne) Bailey. Ed was a Veteran of World War II. Ed is survived by two daughters, Mary Morton (Keith) and Patricia Bailey; three sons, Edward Jr., Gary and Philip (Jean), all of Saint John; three sisters, Hazel Roy (John) of Dartmouth, NS, Ivy Comeau and Marion Morton (Doug), both of Saint John; two brothers, Douglas and Murray (Reida), also of Saint John; eleven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother, Salmer. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506) 634-7424, with visitation on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be celebrated on Monday, May 17th, 2004 from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 pm. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery in the Field of Honour. For those who wish, donations may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of the donor's choice.
