Obituary of Hazel Florence Hyslop
HYSLOP, Hazel Florence ? The death of Hazel Florence Hyslop, wife of Emery Hyslop of Rothesay, NB occurred on Thursday, December 2, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB the daughter of the late Charles and Jessica (Cameron) Houghton. Hazel was an active member of Kennebecasis Baptist Church, particularly with the card ministry and she had been a member of TOPS for a number of years. Survived by her husband; three sons, Brian (Donna) Hyslop of Rothesay, Brent Hyslop of Rothesay and Dan (Jennifer) Hyslop of Etobicoke, ON; daughter-in-law, Mary Ellen Hyslop of Rothesay; a “sister”, Ruth Hoyt; six grandchildren, Brad, Dean, Ben, Corey, Melissa and Laura; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by one son, Douglas Hyslop in September 2003. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Friday and Saturday, December 3 & 4, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held from Kennebecasis Baptist Church, 383 Hampton Rd, Quispamsis, NB on Sunday, December 5, 2004 at 2 pm. Interment in Rothesay Baptist Cemetery with reception following. Remembrances may be made to the Children's Wish Foundation, The Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or a charity of the donor's choice.
