Obituary of Eva M. London
The death of Eva M. London of 1100 Manawagonish Road, Saint John, wife of the late Frederick T. “Doc” London, occurred on Saturday, March 12, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Lena (Dobson) Winnie. In her younger years, Eva worked as the elevator operator at Scovil Bros. and later was employed at the Fairport Restaurant and Red Rose Tea before working at St. Joseph's Hospital as a Nurses Aid before her retirement. Eva enjoyed her Monday shopping trips with her special friend, Gwen Wilson and most of all spending time with her family. She will be sadly missed. She is survived by two sons, Fred London (Brenda) and David London (Claudette) both of Grand Bay-Westfield, one daughter, Diana Gogan (Kenneth) of Saint John, two brothers, George Winnie and Robert Winnie, one sister, Mary Veinot all of Saint John, seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Arthur, Hartley and Walter Winnie Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Monday and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, March 16, 2005 at 2:15 PM. Although the burial will not take place until spring, prayers will be held at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery Vault immediately following the service. Remembrances to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
