Obituary of Frances Marion Elliot
Elliot, Frances Marion The death of Frances Marion Elliot, wife of the late R. Scott Elliot, occurred on July 4, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John she was the daughter of the late C. Frederick and Jessie (Ballantyne) Hannah. She graduated from Saint John High School in 1935 and the Saint John General Hospital School for Nurses in 1939. She nursed at the Saint John General Hospital and the Lancaster DVA Hospital until her marriage to Scott Elliot in September of 1951. She was a member of St. Andrew's and St. David's United Church. She had been an active member of the Sir Douglas Hazen Chapter of the I.O.D.E. for many years as well as the UCW in Halifax and Saint John. She loved her regular get togethers and friendships with the ladies of her bridge club. She is survived by her sons Robert S. and his wife Karen of Rothesay, T. Stephen of Edmonton, her daughter F Lynn Elliot of Saint John, her grandchildren Raegan (Collin Kilpatrick), Cynthia, Katelyn, great-granddaughter Faith Marie Kilpatrick and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenans Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Monday from 7-9 pm and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Following cremation the funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2005, at 11:00 am, from St. Andrew's and St. David's United Church. Interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances made to the Church of St. Andrew's and St David's, the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Arthritis Society would be appreciated. The family would like to express their deep appreciation for the wonderful care and support of the staff of 4C North at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
