Obituary of Edward Harold Trecartin
The death of Edward Harold Trecartin, husband of Winnifred (Wiggins) Trecartin, occurred on July 9, 2004, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on March 25, 1924, he was the son of the late Harold W. and Adeline 'Addie' (Northrup) Trecartin. He was an Air Force Veteran of the Second World War. He owned and operated the family business City Laundry. He was a member of the Atlantic Dry Cleaners Association, the Saint John Board of Trade, the Union Club, White Rapids Fishing Club, and the Royal Canadian Air Force Association. Besides his wife he is survived by his son E. Harold of Saint John, his daughters Paula Rae and Heather Lynn both of Saint John, his sisters Gertrude Belding of Cassidy Lake and Evelyn Bradley of Ketepec and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Ralph and Raymond. Following cremation at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506-634-7424), a private family service will be held followed by interment in Ocean View Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Remembrances made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation, Hestia House, Extra Mural Program or the charity of choice would be appreciated.
