Obituary of Barbara Ann Lodge
The death of Barbara Ann “Barb” Lodge of Mecklenburg Street, Saint John, occurred on Thursday May 13, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, after a period of failing health. Born in Saint John she was the daughter of the late Frederick Sr. and Marion (Beckingham) Lodge. Barb was employed at Lantic Sugar for 40 years. She was a member of various service groups including Loyalist City G.R.S Radio Club, River Valley Ground Search and Rescue, L.O.B.A., Junior Orange Camp Association, and L.T.B.A.. In her spare time she enjoyed Bowling with family and friends. Barb is survived by one son Gary Lodge of Saint John; one brother Fred (Rosemary “Neenie”) Lodge Jr. of Saint John; one sister Sheila Beckingham of Saint John; two adopted sons, Gary Peacock and William Bannister Jr. both of Saint John; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, and one brother Gordon Lodge. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, (634-7424) with visitation on Saturday and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, May 17, 2004, at 2:15 PM, with Rev. Robyn Cuming officiating. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of the donor's choice.
