Obituary of Minnie Alexandra Cross
The death of Minnie Alexandra Cross formerly of Highland Road, Saint John, wife of the late Kenneth Francis Cross, occurred on Sunday, February 20, 2005 at the Carleton-Kirk Lodge. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late George B. and Etta (Lemon) Parks. Minnie was an active member of Main Street Baptist Church where she was a choir member for over 50 years and a member of the Agnes Waring WMS. She loved knitting, crocheting and working with her hands and enjoyed the fellowship of the craft group of the church. She is survived by one son, Harry Cross (Jane) of Saint John, three daughters, Margaret Hall (Keith), Deborah Cross and Christine Garnett (Rod) all of Saint John, 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one daughter, Leona Estelle Cross, brothers John, Walter, Rhuel and Alva Parks and sisters, Freelove (Love) Christiansen, Lulu Zinc, Amy McInerny, Marion Bryden and Jean Walsh. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Monday 7-9 PM and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at 11:00 AM. Interment in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances to Main Street Baptist Church Van Fund or the charity of the donors' choice would be appreciated.
